The BCGBA Coaching Scheme.
a) To promote the game of Crown Green Bowls through the coaching
of beginners, improvers and experienced bowlers.
b) To encourage all County Associations to promote the Coaching
Scheme within their respective County.
c) To provide would-be coaches with the information and expertise
to become qualified coaches.
d) To provide the practical testing facilities to qualify people
as a coach.
e) To encourage every Club to have a coach.
The functions of the BCGCS consist of coaching new members at club
level, coaching people with disabilities and an extensive programme of
coaching juniors and junior county teams.
Facilities are also available for full day coaching sessions at
individual clubs with video recordings of delivery action played back
to the pupils and qualified coaches giving remedial advice where
necessary. The fee for these sessions is £10.00 each.
To accommodate anyone wishing to become a qualified bowls coach, the
BCGCS have a programme of organised training sessions.
